Gary Huffaker, MD
Gary Huffaker graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School in 1973 and practiced pediatric ophthalmology for twenty-seven years, retiring from Kaiser Permanente in 2007. A brief encounter with Ken Wilber’s writings led to an interest in integral medicine and to the M.A. program in Integral Theory at John F. Kennedy University. Concern that medicine has systematically ignored interiority—the left-hand quadrants—motivates Gary on a daily basis. He sees himself as a humble servant of eros, the driving force of evolution.
