The Professional Course in Clinical Homeopathy offers health care professionals a mature educational setting for study and mastery of clinical homeopathy.  Set in the clinical setting of Dr. Kreisberg’s private practice and the Teleosis Institute in Berkeley, California, this discussion course focuses on active learning, self-directed inquiry and shared community value.  Each unit consist of 80 hours of class time, meeting in 4 hour sessions in 4 month terms. The entire program consists of 12 Units.

Enrollment is limited to 12 persons encouraging extensive individual contact between students and Dr. Kreisberg. 

Curriculum

• Living Materia Medica

Materia Medica is brought to life using live, video, provings and paper cases.   Over 200 practice cases provide ample experience for students to gain knowledge. Analysis by kingdoms and families offers the most current perspective.  Students will work with the archetypes by inquiring directly into the nature of each substance.

• Practice Methodology

Case taking, case analysis and case management from the practical focus this program. Direct practice of case management, observation of Dr. Kreisberg's clinical practice, and independent learning modules enhance the student's skill development.

• Clinical Supervision

Dr. Kreisberg personally works with students to refine their skills. In the final stage of the program, students sit in Dr. Kreisberg’s private practice.

• Developing the Emerging Healer

Daily practices, philosophical reading, and focus on self-efficacy, facilitate an outstanding opportunity for the student to explore the values and goals of homeopathic practice.

• Building a Community

Cooperative learning and supervisory support facilitates students emerging into the integrative health care community as part of a team of practitioners.

Established Teaching Clinic

Dr. Kreisberg, DC, CCH, offers a free clinic for underserved communities.. Students will have an opportunity to begin clinical observation immediately. Clinical supervision for each student will being when appropriate. Dr. Kreisberg has been directing homeopathic clinics for 15 years.  Live cases are taken by students.

Educational Philosophy

To become a skillful homeopath, one must undergo rigorous practical and clinical training. To engage the student's fullest involvement this course presents core material through small group discussions, problem-based learning activities and large group discussions.  The clinical element of the program integrates the theoretical constructs learned in class through hands-on learning combined with observation of an experienced homeopath. 

Designed to stimulate critical thinking, independent inquiry and the creativity necessary to grow into a sound professional practice, this course envisions the education of the practitioner as a holistic process.  Patient care is taught in the context of practitioner self-care and personal development.  Students are encouraged to consider homeopathic paradigms within current integrative medical theory undertaking directed self-inquiry.  Case management, community development and ethics are taught as primary components of a sound integral value system.

Costs:               Full program $950 for the 10 sessions plus $50 for printed readers.

                                    Teleosis Institute members will receive a $50 discount on tuition.

About Dr. Kreisberg, DC, CCH.:

Joel completed his Doctor of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College. H e complete BA at Wesleyan University, and an MA at Prescott College. He is an Associate of the Hahnemann College of Homeopathy and the Bengal-Allen Institute in Calcutta, India.

He developed the Teleosis School of Homeopathy in 1995 after teaching at several homeopathic colleges.  As the coordinator of the North American Network of Homeopathic Educators (NANHE,) and the former president of the Council on Homeopathic Education, Dr. Kreisberg developed cutting edge strategies for teaching the art of Homeopathy.  By directly supervising emerging homeopaths for over ten years, Dr. Kreisberg has mastered the teaching of homeopathy in a live clinical setting.

Dr. Kreisberg is the author of several book on homeopathy including Homeopathic Handbook for Poison Ivy and Poison Oak and it is the definitive text on this treatment. He writes regularly of Symbiosis: The Journal of Ecologically Sustainable Medicine.  

Dr. Kreisberg is the Executive Director of the Teleosis Institute.  He is an adjunct faculty member at JFK’s masters program in Holistic Health Education where he teaches classes in Mind-Body Medicine, Integral Research, Homeopathy and Ecologically Sustainable Medicine. He maintains his private practice in Berkeley, CA.

This program provides all the knowledge, skills, and technique to become a professional homeopath. Dr. Kreisberg has supervised many students completion into professional practice, including passing certification examination. Under the direction of Dr. Kreisberg, Teleosis School of Homeopathy graduated 32 students in the four year program, Eight homeopathic professionals have completed their CCH examination.
