About - Dr. Kreisberg, DC, MA, CCH CURRICULUM VITAE
Twenty years ago, Dr. Joel Kreisberg began serving people by practicing classical homeopathy. In the early 1990s he founded the Teleosis School of Homeopathy because of a need to train professional homeopaths using a more balanced approach that included both experiential learning as well as traditional educational methods.
Between 1992 and 1998 Dr. Kreisberg served as the chairman of the Council on Homeopathic Education as well as a founding member of the
North American Network of Homeopathic Educators.
After moving to California, Joel began to focus his time on environmental studies. He completed a Masters of Arts in Integral Ecology
at Prescott College. His thesis “An Integral Ecology of Sudden Oak Death” is one of the first in ecology to use integral theory.
As a result of his masters in ecology, integral theory and medicine, Dr. Kreisberg founded the Teleosis Institute in 2004 and continues to serve as the executive director. The Teleosis Institute is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating health professionals about the principles of Green Health Care and Ecologically Sustainable Medicine.
Teleosis publishes the journal Symbiosis: The Journal of Ecologically Sustainable Medicine, and Dr. Kreisberg continues to serve as the Executive Editor. More recently Teleosis has focused on implementing educational programs for health professionals in Green Healthcare. In 2007, Dr. Kreisberg developed the online course Leadership in Green Healthcare.
Dr. Kreisberg and his staff at Teleosis launched the Green Pharmacy Program in 2007, a pharmaceutical waste take-back program that is the first of its kind in the United States. Using a cradle-to-cradle product stewardship model, the Green Pharmacy Program continues to divert hundreds of pounds on expired and unwanted household medical waste from being disposed of improperly in our open waterways.
Joel began teaching at the School of Holistic Studies at John F Kennedy University in 2004. As an adjunct professor, he teaches in the Holistic Health Education Program and the Integral Theory Program. Joel also continue to lecture at conferences and hospitals throughout California and the US.
