The Teleosis San Francisco Green Pharm Coalition program is a our local program to reduce unused medications entering the environment.


SF Bay Area Green Pharmacy Coalition
The GreenPharm Coalition is a proactive multi-stakeholder stewardship program with the goal of eliminating the pollution caused by the improper disposal of unused pharmaceuticals. The collaboration builds working relationships with primary stakeholders involved in the delivery of pharmaceuticals. Teleosis Institute is the convener and catalyst for creating and promoting initiatives within this coalition.

Alameda County Medication Disposal Initiative
Teleosis helped launch the Alameda County Medication Disposal Initiative. Unused, expired, and leftover medications in the U.S. are becoming an incredible concern for patient safety and public health. The purpose of this Initiative is to develop safe, convenient and environmentally responsible medicine disposal sites in Alameda County to help decrease the accumulation of unused prescription drugs in the home.
