Are there prerequisites before taking a course at Teleosis Institute?

No, however, we strongly encourage a bachelor’s degree. It is not a requirement, and you can start your successful journey of developing your skills and knowledge as a health coach at Teleosis Institute with or without it.

What are the benefits of attending Teleosis programs?

At Teleosis, we assist you in building unique knowledge and skills in health coaching using our methodology.  Through our program, you will develop your own awareness and powerful coaching strategies that engage you and your clients in effective transformative development.

How do I receive CCEUs for attending courses?

Selected classes have been approved for CCE from the ICF in core competencies. All the classes offered at Teleosis Institute meet the standard for resource development hours for the ICF. Upon successful completion of the course, you receive a certificate of completion for the approved units.

Will I be a certified Health Coach after completing the program at Teleosis Institute?

The Certificate Program in Narrative Health Coaching (CPNHC) is approved by the National Consortium for Credentialing Health & Wellness Coaches (NCCHWC). After completing  our program, you can apply for the health coaching certification and take the certification exam at NCCHWC.

How long does it take to be certified?

The Certificate Program in Narrative Health Coaching (CPNHC) is a 100-hour program (70 hours of coursework and 30 hours of mentorship). We try to provide flexibility in terms of planning your personalized learning.  Six months is the average length of time for completion.

When is the deadline to register for a course?

We recommend you to sign up for a course at least one week prior to the first session.

When will you offer a live course in my area?

We welcome the opportunity to explore new possibilities of scheduling a live course in different areas. Please feel free to contact us to discuss how. In autumn, 2016 we have live courses scheduled for Western Connecticut State University, October 15-16, 2016; and in the Bay Area in California, December 10-11, 2016. Location TBD.

Does tuition need to be paid in full in advance?

No, you can set up an installment plan for the tuition.

How can I sign up through my employer’s tuition assistance program?

We can work with organizations for their employer assistance programs so that an employee or a group of employees can join. Please contact us to discuss further.

What is the cancellation policy?

Refund of the full tuition amount minus an administrative fee of $100.00 is available for cancellations made at least two weeks prior to the start date of any class. Up to the course start date a 50% refund is available. No refunds will be granted after the course has begun. Cancellations, withdrawals, or transfers must be made in writing.

What do I need to know to prepare for the course?

We will send you login information for the online Moodle classroom – all coursework and materials are there. The live class meetings use the Zoom.us online platform. We will send you instructions on how to access Zoom meetings.  

When will I receive a certificate of completion?

Upon satisfactory completion of each course, you will receive a certificate of completion in two weeks.
