Green Your Medical Office: Steps you can use today!

October 20-21, 2007

Dr. Joel Kreisberg will introduce the basic goals of a green office: to reduce the environmental impact of the health care workplace, conserve resources, reduce waste, and monitor ongoing environmental performance. Participants will be provided with quick and easy steps that can be used to best limit the environmental impact of medicine.

According to LOHAS, (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability), an estimated $208 billion is spent in the U.S.marketplace for goods and services focused on health, the environment, social justice, personal development and sustainable living. The LOHAS market why so many businesses are becoming ‘green.’

Participants who attend this workshop will be able to:
  • Understand the principles of green building
  • Identify the common environmental impacts of a small medical clinic
  • Conduct a self-guided audit to address conservation of energy, water, and solid waste, as well as pollution prevention
  • Collaborate with like-minded professionals towards sustainable goals
