DIGITAL MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

The Teleosis Institute is an educational not-for-profit organization devoted to helping health care practitioners develop sustainable medical practices. DESCRIPTION OF INTERNSHIP:

As an intern at the Teleosis Institute, you’ll be joining a dynamic team, dedicated to a vision of Green Health Care. We are seeking a digital media intern to assist with a range of projects. Depending on skills and interests, intern projects may include:

  • Assisting in maintenance of website, monthly e-newsletters, and event flyers
  • Acquiring images and editing film and radio clips for website
  • Contacting environmental- and health-related organizations for web link exchanges
  • Helping with membership data tracking, member surveys, and updating campaign program information
  • Assisting in planning and coordination of direct mail campaigns
  • Advertising and attending local events to promote Teleosis programs
  • General office administration, clerical duties, and data entry

This part-time internship requires 40 total hours or more, to be carried out over a minimum of three months. The intern, together with the supervisor, will determine a certain day and time each week to be in the office. Attendance at some evening and weekend events will be necessary. 

A certificate of completion and letter of reference will be provided at the end of the internship. This is an unpaid internship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful applicants will be motivated, creative, flexible, and responsible. Applicants must have excellent computer and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail. Proficiency with HTML, DreamWeaver, Adobe PDF, Photoshop, MS Word, and the internet is required.

We are especially interested in applicants majoring /minoring in: Digital Media, Communications, Graphic Design, Business Management, Non-Profit Development, Marketing or Advertising. Knowledge of holistic health, integrative medicine, environmental studies, and sustainable business a plus. Since we work in a small office environment, we are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a sense of humor, who works well independently and with others.
